GPSville

In fiction it is pictured in various ways how society would be if we could read each other’s mind or have some other restriction to our human rights. Of course it is not clear at all how such a huge change would affect our culture. But why don’t we try it out? As a first step, in a small town everyone could be equipped with some GPS device that they have to wear all the time, say, for a year. Of course all citizens of the town should agree, and in return they could get some payment. I am sure there would be places that would volunteer. Maybe they would even agree to be equipped with mics or webcams that they can turn off only in certain situations. I cannot even imagine how much this would change life. I also think that I would make it obligatory for members of the parliament to be trackable like this all the time to fight corruption.
